What We Believe & Why It Matters
Our mission, our convictions, and the good news that changes everything.

Our Mission
LifePointe Church exists to glorify God and make gospel-driven disciples of Jesus Christ by engaging people in the unexpected joy of a life more and more dependent on Jesus.
That's not a slogan we hang on a wall—it's the reason behind everything we do. From Sunday Service to Community LifeGroups to our outreach in Northern Colorado and around the world we believe following Jesus is the door into the fullest, most joyful life there is.
How We're Led
LifePointe is led by a plurality of elders, rather than a single Senior or Lead Pastor. No one elder holds authority over the others—each has an equal voice, and the typical responsibilities of a lead pastor are shared among our Pastoral Leadership Team according to their gifting. We've operated this way since 2016, and we believe it brings stability, humility, and shared ownership to how we lead the church.
certain of God's love, regardless of our own shortcomings

The Good News
The God of the Bible loves us and created us to be in relationship with Him. We are ultimately accountable to Him, and regretfully, all of us have sinned against Him and stand rightfully judged.
But there's good news—that's literally what “gospel” means. God acted in Jesus Christ to save us from that judgment. Jesus died on a cross to pay the penalty for our sin and to restore the relationship we were created for. God saves us by pure grace, not because of anything we've done, but solely because of what Jesus has done for us. That means we can be certain of God's love, regardless of our own shortcomings and failures.
We take hold of this gift through repentance and faith. “Repentance” simply means turning away from running our own lives and turning toward Jesus instead. If you want to receive Jesus as the forgiver of your sins and the leader of your life, it starts with a simple, honest prayer: admit to God that you've sinned and need His forgiveness, believe that Jesus died and rose again to save you, express your desire to turn from your old way of life, and ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. Then thank Him, and welcome to the beginning of a relationship that lasts forever.
A Christian is simply someone who has received this gift from God and is choosing, day by day, to let Jesus lead their life instead of following their own way.

Beliefs & Mission
FAQs
What does LifePoint believe about the Bible?
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God—completely trustworthy and the final authority for what we believe and how we live.
What does LifePoint believe about salvation?
We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone—a gift received, not something earned through good works, rituals, or effort.
Do I have to agree with everything on this page to attend?
No. You're welcome at LifePoint no matter where you are in your journey. These beliefs describe what our church family holds to be true; they're not a requirement to walk through our doors.
What if I'm still figuring out what I believe?
That's a completely normal place to be, and you're welcome here. Many people in our church started exactly there and we'd love to walk through your questions with you.
Does LifePoint have a senior pastor?
No, we're led by a plurality of elders, a team of staff and lay leaders who share the responsibilities typically held by one Lead or Senior Pastor. You can read more about why we lead this way above.
What does LifePoint believe about baptism?
We practice believer's baptism by immersion—baptism as a public declaration of faith for those who have already trusted Jesus, rather than infant baptism. We hold child dedications for infants and young children regularly.
What is LifePoint's view on marriage?
Our full position is outlined in our Statement of Conviction regarding marriage, divorce, and remarriage, linked above.
How do I know if I'm truly a Christian?

What do I do if I want to become a Christian today?
It starts with a simple, honest conversation with God, then let us know using the Connection Card so we can celebrate with you and help you take next steps.
Do I need to become a member to be part of the church?
No. Membership is a meaningful commitment for those who want to formally unite with the LifePointe family, but you can attend, serve, and grow here long before you're ready for that step.
Who can I talk to if I have more questions about faith or these beliefs?
Reach out through our Contact Us form or call the church office at 970-484-4053. Our staff and elders are always more than happy to help.
