Church membership is more than having your name on a list—it's a commitment to live out your faith in community.
In Acts 2, we see believers who devoted themselves to Jesus and intentionally identified with a local church. They worshiped together, prayed together, ate together, learned together, served one another, and shared the mission of making disciples. Throughout the New Testament, followers of Jesus are called to live in accountable, committed relationships within the local body of Christ.
At LifePoint, membership is our way of saying, "This is my church family, and I'm committed to growing, serving, and living on mission together." Membership provides a clear opportunity to pursue unity, accountability, spiritual growth, and faithful service as we follow Jesus together.
LifePoint Membership Covenant
Having placed my faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, having been baptized as a believer by immersion, and being in agreement with the gospel of Jesus Christ and LifePoint Church's mission, core values, structure, and Statement of Faith, I believe the Holy Spirit is leading me to unite with the LifePoint Church family.
As a member, I commit myself to God and to this church family by pursuing the following:
I will protect the unity of my church by:
- Acting in love toward other members (1 Peter 4:8)
- Seeking biblical reconciliation when conflict arises (Matthew 18:15–17)
- Supporting and following the leadership God has placed over the church (Hebrews 13:17)
I will support the testimony of my church by:
- Gathering faithfully for worship and community (Hebrews 10:24-25)
- Giving generously and cheerfully to support the ministry of the church (2 Corinthians 9:6–7)
- Living a life that reflects the transforming power of the gospel (Philippians 1:27)
I will serve the ministry of my church by:
- Discovering and developing my spiritual gifts and abilities (1 Peter 4:10)
- Serving in a ministry at least one trimester each year (Galatians 5:13)
- Growing spiritually through participation in a LifeGroup and regular study of God's Word (Colossians 3:16)
I will share the mission of my church by:
- Praying for the church and its continued growth (Colossians 4:3)
- Sharing the good news of God's grace and inviting others to know Jesus and connect with LifePoint (Matthew 28:19-20)
- Welcoming guests with genuine warmth and hospitality (Romans 15:7)
